About

I am a thirty something year old mother of two children. In March 2013 they are Lucy Bella, 3 years and Jack, 5 years. I starting dating my now husband nearly 20 years ago in high school and he is still, hands down, the best person I have ever met, ever!
My family have been my primary focus for the last few years and so it stands to reason that they form the bulk of my subject matter in this blog but now that I am happily settled into motherhood in that i fully trust my own judgement and don’t doubt myself nearly as much as I used to…I feel the need to reach out to the world again because I have the time to nourish my passions and interests again. I feel like a surfer having just finished a mind-blowing tube ride and I am now waiting in the calm water for the next wave. (I have never ridden a tube on a wave, just so you know. It would be awesome though.)

What follows in this blog are my thoughts, suggestions, opinions and beliefs but please remember that they are just that…merely mine. However your comments, suggestions and thoughts are, quite literally, the world to me.
Thanks for visiting my world!

Brenne – at last, my prayers have been answered – I have discovered a normal person in the world of blog!
I can’t sew, I can’t knit, I can’t be bothered to ‘scrap’ – I can cook but never weigh anything or use recipes…but I do have a 5 month old daughter and I want to read stories about everyday ‘stuff’ and read sage advice on how to deal with it.
    Thank you!

OMG Brenne, I love your blog! Started reading a few days after Christmas last year and just couldn’t stop. Then your out of the blue your beautiful Christmas card arrived, (have been meaning to write this since then, you know how it goes). Anyway congratulation on your wonderful and interesting blogging, and thanks for the gift of sharing your experience. As a mother of two (4 yrs & 11 mths) it’s empowering and as a reluctantly distant friend delightful to learn more of your life. Ken and I talk often of traveling to your neck of the woods. Hopefully soon we’ll move to the next phase; action and see you soon. Keep blogging! Love to all Leonie
